The Center of Peace sponsors regular potluck dinners and opportunities for gatherings of fun and laughter. It’s a great opportunity to get to know some new people. Children are always welcome!
The mission of the Helping Hands Network is to offer comfort and support to those in need in the form of nurturing, acknowledgments, food, etc.
Members and friends of the Center of Peace join together in offering a variety of "help" to our greater community. We have been involved with Paint the Town, Rake-Up Boise, the Idaho AIDS Foundation, Voices of Faith for Human Rights, The Idaho Food Bank, serving lunches at Community Houses each month, and more… We are always open to suggestions in being of service to our community.
We offer FANTASTIC retreats! In the Fall (usually early October) our retreats begin with dinner on Friday and ends with lunch on Sunday. The location is generally in the mountains. It is beautiful! There are Meditations, Workshops, and Play time. We learn to be free to just "be." You can expect wonderful company, spiritually uplifting sessions, and delicious food! Join us. We’d love to have you!
In addition to our adult retreat, we also offer several classes and workshops throughout the year.
Our Youth Education staff provides lessons based on Science of Mind and the greatness within each one of us. Find out more.
The Center of Peace offers a monthly newsletter. It’s filled with upcoming activities, celebrations within our congregation, upcoming speakers and topics of the month, Youth Education updates, inspiring stories, spiritual uplifting words, important dates and times, a list of our board members and contact information, Giggle of the Month, Community Outreach information, the Ministry of Prayer, and more….
